The frame rate you choose via the Preferences dialog may go from as low as 25 fps to as high as 100 fps. If you have the dexterity to drive fast, you can play almost always in a "ghosts eaten" situation. Create a second folder for your levels: this way you can play only the levels contained in the original "Levels" folder (useful if you like the "Random" play mode). If you're low on memory, try not to use MOD or MIDI files that are very big. Or try to raise the memory partition up to 5Mb (though 3.5Mb or even 3Mb should be enough in most situations). •MOD files are not all the same. There are dozens of different formats and it is difficult to recognize them all. If the file is damaged or in a non-standard music format, PacMac Deluxe will simply stay quiet until you choose another valid module. In rare cases, it might hang or quit suddenly. •So, please, check the modules before putting 'em in the "Music" folder! Or add them one at a time, to be sure PacMac Deluxe can actually play them without problems. •Enjoy it!
